Generative AI Class Schedule

ONLINE / Day 1 (~4 hours)

Introduction to AI-Assisted Proposal Development

Develop an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of Generative AI—as well as its current limitations—with custom content, demonstrations, and exercises. You’ll test drive different AI models and learn how to use AI tools to write proposal content, develop technical solutions, build PowerPoint briefings, and automate proposal reviews. You’ll also learn techniques for using single prompts and chain-of-thought prompts that help you quickly converge on desired outcomes.

We’ll also discuss why AI models hallucinate, their limitations, and how to manage data security in enterprise models.

By the end of the first session, you’ll be skilled in using basic AI tools and will be able to use your new AI skills to create an AI Responsible Use Policy for your company.

ONLINE / Day 2 (~4 hours)

Enterprise AI Platforms and Prompt Engineering for Proposal Development

On Day 2, we’ll transition from open AI to private enterprise AI platforms to create proposal content.

We’ll focus on demystifying prompt engineering. We’ll show you how to create well-designed prompts that work in enterprise AI platforms and how to improve the quality of your prompts. We’ll explore prompt flows, including hidden system prompts and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) data calls, and how your AI platform can access your company’s private data library.

We’ll dive into how to set up and maintain a secure company private data library with a myriad of company artifacts (e.g., capture plans, customer data, past proposals, proprietary solutions, past performance, resumes, etc.).

You’ll learn how to set up a shareable Prompt Library of reusable prompts.

By the end of the second session, you will be writing your own prompts, skillfully creating new proposal content and designing continuity of thought prompts to build custom workflows that are essential creating real proposal content.

ONLINE / Day 3 (~4 hours)

Lohfeld Generative AI Proposal Development Center

On Day 3, you’ll work in the Training Tenant in our Multi-Tenant GenAI Proposal Development Center to respond to a real government RFP. You’ll generate proposal outlines, executive summaries, technical and management solutions, proposal evaluation strengths, and first drafts of proposal content. You will also:

  • Review your draft proposal content with AI-assisted tools and learn how to use AI tools to recommend content improvements.
  • Use our private data library of past proposals and other proposal artifacts to help build proposal content.
  • Test your in-class prompts, as well as those included in the AI platform and proprietary Lohfeld prompts.

Your temporary Training Tenant license will last ~7 days after the class. You can continue using the Training Tenant to develop additional prompts for your personal prompt library during this time. All prompts and work products will be deleted after 7 days, and the Training Tenant will be reinitialized to prevent proprietary data exposure.

By the end of the third session, you will be using AI tools to confidently assist capture teams, help SME’s create high-scoring solutions and write proposal content better and more quickly than ever before.  You will be prepared to be an AI trailblazer and accelerate your company’s adoption of AI technology.
