GSA announced they are adding hundreds of contractors to the five OASIS Small Business and Unrestricted Pools

There’s an old adage: Saying it is one thing, but proving it is another. In the world of GSA OASIS On-Ramps, this adage is very fitting. GSA has announced that they are adding hundreds of contractors to the five OASIS Small Business and Unrestricted pools using open season on ramps. The latest schedule posted to the GSA OASIS Interact Community details the plan to move forward. OASIS Pool 1 Small Business proposals are now submitted, and in the first quarter of 2019 GSA plans to on-ramp OASIS SB sub-pools for 8(a) contractors for all pools. OASIS Unrestricted Pools 1, 3 and 4 will follow the 8(a) sub-pools, and RFPs for OASIS SB Pools 3 and 4 will round out fiscal 2019. Get Ready for the Q3 and Q4 SUPER Task Orders

Contract holders can expect a roaring third and fourth quarter 2018

Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) contract holders can expect a roaring third and fourth quarter 2018, since many bids expected in the Q1 and Q2 were stalled in procurement. Exhibit 1 lists our pick of the Top IT Task Orders, Exhibit 2 lists our picks of Top Professional Services Task Orders for Q3 and Q4. We define a Super Business Task Order as an individual task order awarded under the umbrella of an IDIQ or GWAC. We required that the IDIQ or GWAC have a selected pool of contractors, who compete on requests for task order proposals. We ensured all task orders had a distinct primary contract vehicle number and task order contract number, and that all task orders were unrestricted or set aside for small business. Twenty Super Professional Task Orders with combined ceiling values of over $19.6 Billion

In FY18, 20 Super Professional Services Task Orders with combined ceiling values of more than $19.6 billion and spending to date of more than $19.5 billion will exceed their ultimate expiration date and become eligible for competition (see Exhibit 1). We defined a Super Professional Services Task Order as an individual task order awarded under the umbrella of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). We required that the IDIQ or GWAC contain a selected pool of contractors who compete on request for task order proposals. We ensured all task orders had a distinct primary contract vehicle number and task order contract number. To find the Top 20 Super Professional Services Task Orders, we looked for task orders with an ultimate expiration date of no later than September 30, 2018, whose primary requirement and NAICS code was for professional services.
