Opportunity Alert: GSA CAMEO Recompete

The new contract(s) will focus on transformation aligned with a defined solutions architecture

Get ready for the General Services Administration (GSA) CIO Application Maintenance, Enhancements, and Operations (CAMEO) Re-Compete effort. GSA held an Industry Day August 7 to introduce the procurement, which as they reiterated, is early in the process and industry feedback is welcome. The program is generating a lot of attention with more than 230 companies attending Industry Day. Current Task Orders The CAMEO work is currently performed under two FEDSIM task orders awarded in 2014 to Lockheed Martin (full and open, $400 million) and Alliant Solution Partners (small business, $92 million). The current CAMEO program supports GSA’s OCIO with updating the Federal Acquisition Service’s (FAS) business systems. Both task orders expire in Q2 of 2019. The CAMEO program streamlines a highly integrated IT portfolio of approximately 90 business applications through application development and modernization, as well as operations and maintenance (O&M). Get Ready for the Q3 and Q4 SUPER Task Orders

Contract holders can expect a roaring third and fourth quarter 2018

Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) contract holders can expect a roaring third and fourth quarter 2018, since many bids expected in the Q1 and Q2 were stalled in procurement. Exhibit 1 lists our pick of the Top IT Task Orders, Exhibit 2 lists our picks of Top Professional Services Task Orders for Q3 and Q4. We define a Super Business Task Order as an individual task order awarded under the umbrella of an IDIQ or GWAC. We required that the IDIQ or GWAC have a selected pool of contractors, who compete on requests for task order proposals. We ensured all task orders had a distinct primary contract vehicle number and task order contract number, and that all task orders were unrestricted or set aside for small business. Twenty Super Small Business Task Orders with combined ceiling values over $1.3B

In FY18, 20 Super Small Business Tasks Orders (TOs) with combined ceiling values of more than $1.3 billion and spending to date of more than $1.2 billion will exceed their ultimate expiration date and become eligible for competition (see Exhibit 1). We define a Super Small Business TO as an individual TO awarded under the umbrella of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). We required that the IDIQ or GWAC contain a selected pool of contractors who compete on request for TO proposals. We ensured all TOs had a distinct primary contract vehicle number and TO contract number and that all TOs were set aside for small business.
