We are looking for professionals to work in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas and in locations around the country where government contract work is done.

We seek professionals who have experience winning procurements in Federal Civilian, Defense, and National Intelligence markets and who have expertise in Information Technology, Professional Services, Aerospace, and Defense programs.

Holding an active or recent security clearance is a plus.

We are also looking for professionals who are willing to travel for consulting assignments.

Full-time and 1099 positions

As the market leader in providing capture, proposal development, business acquisition process improvement, and training services for government contractors and a growing company, we continuously add to our team of consultants. We hire full-time consultants and provide 401(k) and incentive compensation packages, and we hire part-time 1099 consultants to staff certain projects.


TITLE: Contracts Manager/Administrator

  • Job Description: Versatile Contracts Manager/Administrator needed to manage and administer contracts for Lohfeld Consulting, a bid and proposal management firm whose customers support Federal Government contracts. The Contracts Manager/Administrator manages all phases of the contract lifecycle, including oversight, amendment, and termination.
  • Specific Duties:
    • Help develop contracts with customers and assist with pricing.
    • Help respond to requests for Master Service Agreements.
    • Work with the Accounting Manager to ensure the creation of timely and accurate invoices and the payment of those invoices by customers.
    • Proactively alert Account Directors to contract milestones and requirements to update the contract or add funds.
    • Update and maintain past performance records and summaries for contracts.
    • Mitigate contract risks and verify compliance with contract terms and conditions.
    • Meet contract reporting requirements.
    • Efficiently manage contract information using automated platforms.
    • Provide standard and ad hoc reports for use by Account Directors.
    • Must be a self-starter who meets deadlines.
  • Skills: Contract management, financial management, compliance, negotiation, and reporting. Experience with QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Replicon is a plus. Knowledge of Coupa, Exostar, and similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience: 10 years in the government contracting field, preferably with a mid-to-large federal contractor.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree

TITLE: Marketing Specialist/Coordinator

  • Job Description: Provide marketing support for Lohfeld Consulting, a bid and proposal management firm whose customers support Federal Government contracts.
  • Specific Duties:
    • Contribute ideas to help continually improve the strategic marketing and communications plan.
    • Update and maintain the marketing database in Salesforce by adding, updating, or archiving members.
    • Develop marketing lists for specific communications.
    • Help maintain, update, and edit marketing reports and update marketing dashboards.
    • Help maintain and update the Content Release Calendar.
    • Analyze and understand marketing data and results and perform needed research. 
    • Support the development and use of our LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
    • Support the development of communications and presentations.
    • Must be a self-starter who meets deadlines and demonstrates creativity in building awareness and customer engagement.
  • Skills: Attention to detail and ability to help update and maintain the Salesforce database. Experience using and maintaining social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and others. Experience using social media content development tools like Canva, Adobe, and Camtasia. Experience creating/producing videos is a plus. 
  • Experience: 3 years in the government marketing field, preferably with a mid-to-large federal contractor.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree

TITLE: Vice President, Account Executive

  • Job Description: Manage client engagements, including establishing statements of work, selecting and assigning consulting staff, overseeing engagement performance, and developing new client relationships.
  • Specific Duties:
    • Engage with clients and offer consulting services, including capture, proposal development, orals coaching, training, and advisory services.
    • Seek out new clients and respond to incoming requests from prospective clients.
    • Develop and nurture trusted relationships with key client executives and members of our consulting team.
    • Play an active role in our company’s leadership team, emphasizing collegiality, collaboration, and effective communication.
  • Skills: 
    • Comprehensive understanding of the federal government market’s full business acquisition life cycle from market strategy through proposal development.
    • Deep understanding of capture and proposal roles and experience working with capture managers and proposal teams.
    • Strong sales/BD background.
    • Well organized and meticulous about details.
    • Good writer.
  • Experience: 15 years in business development, capture, or proposal management, preferably with a mid-to-large federal contractor.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree
  • Location: The job is 100% remote; DC metro required for occasional in-person team meetings
