President/Founder – Bob Lohfeld, AM.APMP

Bob Lohfeld, CEOBob Lohfeld has 30 years of experience in government markets and has served in executive-level positions as President of Lockheed Martin Commercial Enterprise Solutions, Vice President of Lockheed Martin Information Technology, and Senior Vice President of OAO Corporation. He held board-level positions with the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) as Chairman, Technology Council of Maryland (TCM) as Vice Chairman, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the Government Electronics Industry Association (GEIA). Bob is a board member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals' (APMP) National Capital Area (NCA) Chapter. Bob presented at the 2009 International APMP Conference in Chandler, Arizona (click here for presentation). He was a winner of the Federal 100 award in 1998, 1999, and 2000.

Bob holds a bachelor's degree in Space Science and Applied Physics from The Catholic University and a master's degree in Engineering from the University of Maryland. He completed course work for a Doctorate in Engineering Administration at George Washington University. Active Top Secret clearance.

 

Managing Director, Proposal Services – Amy Barden

Amy Barden, Managing Director, Proposal ServicesAmy Barden manages the Lohfeld Consulting Group's “bench” of capture and proposal consultants—developing client relationships, fielding requests for capture and proposal assistance, and marketing and placing consultants. During more than 20 years' in the proposal industry, Amy has served as a Director of Communications and Proposals and Director of Quality Assurance. Her work includes designing and standing up a dedicated proposal center, directing proposal center operations, and—as an employee and as a consultant—serving as proposal manager, coordinator, writer, and editor. Thus, Amy has a deep understanding of the proposal process and the role of consultants in that process. In addition to her work with proposals and government contractors, she has worked for the Smithsonian Institution, the White House, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals' (APMP) National Capital Area (NCA) Chapter, and other associations.

Amy holds a BA in English from James Madison University, a training certificate from Georgetown University, and certificates in editing and publications management from Editorial Experts, Inc. (EEI). She is a member of the APMP, the Women’s National Book Association (WNBA), and the Writer’s Center. 

 

Managing Director, Proposal Development and Corporate Communications –
Beth Wingate, APMP Fellow, AF.APMP

Beth Wingate, Managing Director, Proposal Development and Corporate CommunicationsBeth Wingate has more than 23 years' proposal development, management, and corporate communications experience. She helps clients develop proposals, improve their proposal operations, and build their corporate communications programs. An excellent, experienced proposal manager, Beth specializes in managing responses to large government procurements as well as task order proposals. Prior to joining our firm, she served as Proposal Center Director for Lockheed Martin and before that for 12 years' as Proposal Center Director for Management Systems Designers, Inc. (MSD) (acquired by Lockheed Martin). Beth was inducted as an Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Fellow in June 2010. She is the 2010 - 2011 Director of Education for APMP and the 2009 President of the APMP, National Capital Area (NCA) Chapter. She served as the Chapter's President in 2008 and as Executive Summary Newsletter Chairperson, publisher, and editor from 2005 to 2007. Beth presented at the 2007 International APMP Conference in New Orleans and at the NCA Chapter's 2008 Proposal Basics Boot Camp. She presented at the 2009 International APMP Conference in Chandler, AZ (click here for presentation). Beth holds APMP professional accreditation, a bachelor's degree from The College of William and Mary, and extensive training in proposal management, graphics development, and end-user software. Active Top Secret clearance.

 

Managing Director, Aerospace and Defense Strategy – Fred Gregory

Fred Gregory, Managing Director, Aerospace and Defense StrategyFred Gregory has more than 30 years' experience in aerospace and defense markets. He served as Deputy Administrator and Acting Administrator for NASA overseeing all agency operations. As Associate Administrator for Space Flight, he oversaw human space flight, the Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station. Fred served as Associate Administrator for Safety and Mission Assurance overseeing 60 shuttle flights without mishap. He served as Space Shuttle Commander on two flights and crew member on a third. Fred graduated from the Air Force Academy, and he holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from George Washington University. Active Top Secret clearance.

 

Managing Director, Strategic Solutions – Brenda Crist, PPM.APMP

Brenda Crist, Managing Director, Strategic SolutionsBrenda Crist serves as a senior capture and proposal manager and develops strategic solutions for clients. She focuses on helping clients work with their staff and partners to create winning, well-written proposal solutions. She offers hands-on experience from leading and conducting systems and network management projects for many civilian and military clients. Brenda stays current with the latest procurements, their requirements, and industry best practices, and she uses this knowledge to maintain Lohfeld Consulting Group's corporate knowledge base. Brenda serves as the 2009 Vice President and Professional Day Chairperson for the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), National Capital Area (NCA) Chapter. She has been an active member of APMP-NCA since 2003, serving as Professional Day Chair of Publicity, Speakers Program, and Chairperson for the 2006, 2007, and 2008 events, respectively. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Public Administration from American University and is Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified.

 

Managing Director, Process and Infrastructure – Hélène Courard, AM.APMP

Helene Courard, Managing Director, Process and InfrastructureAs Managing Director of the Proposal Process and Infrastructure Solutions Division, Hélène Courard works with clients to develop and implement defined, repeatable, managed, measured, and optimized proposal infrastructures and processes. Hélène brings over 10 years’ experience in capture and proposal infrastructure and proposal operations to assist clients in raising their win probability and reducing effort required to create winning proposals. Prior to joining Lohfeld Consulting Group, Hélène spent over 8 years within CSC’s Defense Group in various roles, including establishing and running two Proposal Operations teams—at the Division and Group levels—within the organization. Hélène is an active member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), National Capital Area (NCA) Chapter Roundtable Committee (2008 and 2009) and has attained her Foundational Accreditation with APMP. Hélène has a bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University and a law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. 

 

Pat Brosey, Principal Consultant

Pat has more than 20 years’ experience managing, writing, and producing winning proposals to government agencies. She provides leadership across the entire proposal development life cycle serving as proposal manager, capture manager, volume lead, technical writer, and red team lead. Pat has comprehensive, large-scale defense C4ISR engineering program experience as a business developer, certified system architect, chief engineer, system integration lead, and software engineer. She is skilled in program management techniques including earned value management system (EVMS), scheduling, costing, and risk management. She led Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Models (SEI CMMI) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 compliance and assessment activities. Pat is a Certified Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP). Active Secret clearance.

 

Briana Coleman, AM.APMP, Senior Consultant

Briana Coleman, Senior ConsultantBriana provides proposal management support to clients. She is highly skilled in proposal strategy development, proposal coordination, writing, copy editing, desktop publishing, and project management. She holds a BA in Psychology and Criminology/Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland (Cum Laude), as well as a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University. Briana is an active member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), serving as a National Capital Area Chapter (NCA) Roundtable Committee Member and chairing two Roundtable Events. She also serves on NCA’s Professional Day Committee and authored the Professional Day Event Planning Guide.
