Integrating the Capture and Proposal Processes, Bob Lohfeld

Capture Management is a defined, repeatable process that needs to be tightly integrated with Proposal Development in order to effectively launch the creation of your proposal early in the Business Development Life Cycle and get your proposal team moving on a clear path to victory. This presentation defines Capture Management, how it integrates with Proposal Development, and what information needs to flow from Capture to Proposal Development during each step in the Capture Process. It also discusses how this information can be archived in an Integrated Capture/Proposal knowledge repository. By tightly integrating Capture and Proposal Process, you can improve the effectiveness of your proposal development team, reduce proposal development costs, and raise your win probability in addition to building a Knowledge Management System that can be used to support future new business pursuits.

Using CMMI, ITIL, and PMBoK to Improve Operations, Brenda Crist

Improve proposal operations using PMBoK, ITIL, and CMMI best practices. Apply tested and proven best practices from other bodies of knowledge (PMBoK, ITIL, and CMMI) to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality. Augment the presentation using lessons learned, metrics, and case studies. Demonstrate how the attendee can apply CMMI, PMBoK, and ITIL best practices to improve proposal operations. This includes how to improve proposal schedule, cost, configuration, knowledge, risk, communications, and customer service management. For example, to improve proposal cost management, apply PMBoK cost management techniques. Use them to develop the proposal budget, create a cost baseline or spend plan. implement triggers, identify budget variances, and report proposal costs. The presentation will reinforce the conference theme by adding to the APMP Body of Knowledge from other respected sources.
